  • Tara Calmes, DNP, CNP, ANP-BC is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a doctorate in nursing practice. She has extensive experience in cognitive decline, neurology, pain management, and chronic illness treatment. Tara has a passion for helping patients identify and treat the cause of symptoms and disease. She has over 16 years clinic experience with most of that time dedicated to treating patients with multiple chronic and complicated conditions. She has extensive experience in neurology, physical medicine, pain management, and chronic illness treatment. She has a special interest in headaches, memory problems, head injuries, Lyme treatment, gut issues, skin problems, chronic pain, mood issues, seizures and preventive care. She has additional training in Functional Medicine, Bredesen protocol, Frequency Specific Microcurrent, Ozone Therapy, Intravenous Therapy and Lyme Treatment. She has a special interest in providing group appointments in an effort to bring patients together to support each other and provide a cost effective alternative to accessing quality Functional Medicine care. She has spent her career thinking outside of the box and searching for ways to help patients achieve long-lasting health and symptom improvement. She looks at the whole person and develops an individual plan that includes addressing the underlying cause of the condition(s). We also offer elimination diets and/or testing to help uncover food sensitivities and counsel you on the dietary changes necessary to treat many chronic health conditions. This testing and dietary protocol have been extremely effective in helping those with ADHD, Autism, IBS, chronic diarrhea, heartburn/GERD, fibromyalgia, arthritis, joint pain, mental health concerns, muscle pain, weight imbalances, chronic fatigue, chronic sinusitis, insomnia, skin eruptions and more. In treating these conditions holistically, we also offer additional health therapies such as Frequency Specific Microcurrent therapy and Low Dose Immunotherapy and Allergen Therapy.
